17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 3 Things to Check while Designing Templates 1. Check the all links of source file are available and linked . 2. Check for updated plug-in if any. Which included latest job option. 3. Remove special characters (eg. %, $ @ + etc) from physical name of file. 4. Create a package of template to maintain links & fonts relatively. 5. Delete all elements from Master Pages. Also delete elements which outside of page area. 6. Don't delete tagged frame without getting Untag it. It will create a blank tag of that element in Geo file. 7. Create a single document of different pages if required. 8. Should use Correct Fonts, Use only OTF/TTF fonts in template and make sure they are installed on system and added to Brandmark using the Administration module. 9. If get any new fonts upload it on Server as well as in HTML folder. 10. While designing template convert all frames in Graphic or in Text respectively. 11. Assign proper Tag list & Tag to frames. 12. While tagging frames check for special character are used as text. If found any remove it. 13. Create proper layerset & its option as required. Same layerset name should get used in stepbuilder . 14. Apply gravity to icons in unit of points only. It works only in groups of elements. 15. Check for all appropriate color swatch used in templates. 16. Remove any tint or transparency effect if used. 17. Remove Paragraph style or Character Style if used. 18. You can apply a Return from stepbuilder. It will allow more flexibility with design & can be used same stepbuilder for multiple templates. 19. Use 30 character for Name including space. Use dash"-" underscore"_" or Space" ". Plugins dont have any support for any other special character in file name except above. 20. Stroke should be Inside Or outside, Center value not supported by plug-in. It must be more than1pt. 21. A very small static elements like a DOT(.) or Line could lead to crashing issue while approving template. 22. Take a icons Images from dam while approving template to avoid repetition of same images on DAM. 23. Don't upload images if you taken it from dam while approving template. 24. Save your approved zips. Can be useful to test template. 25. Rotated Images Should be align TOP only. 26. System Crashed if there are small elements 27. If you create a new Tag for Images, kindly Add them on Brandmark as well. 28. TAB= To create tab in StepBuilder use TAB(46) [46 pt is gap] 29. Run Script for Raywhite New Templates Please run this query on Prinrforce Production server for Brandmark database.

Adbuilder now supporting Double space after & Before Tag. I have added it in Stepbuilder function .XML You can now use it wherever it applicable. 31. HTML Builder is now supporting Tracking from Indesign also It carried in pdf. But Kerning need to be ZERO as it not yet supported. 32. No Guideline Should be on Template, Kindly remove all the guidelines. 33. Only way at the moment to put colon is as defined below. EmailCOL() OR TCOL()TAB(30), This will reflect as T: & Tab of 30 points. 34. No Special Character on File name (eg. +, & @ *) 35. Pagebase layer should not be treat as option. It always just be LS_Pagebase. 36. The document provided should not be spread; it should be one page (Portrait or landscape). 37. If there are any layers required in the document, the template .indd should have it as it takes lot of time to convert multiple documents into a single layered template. The naming convention would be LS_LayerSetName_LayerName where LS signifies that it is a layer set in the template 38. Set Kerning scaling to "0" across the document as HTML5 ad builder does not support these properties as of now. This is only for variable tags, static tag may have these properties 39. Do not provide any unassigned or irrelevant frame in the document. 40. Every tag/element should have proper name to identify its use. Please do not use abbreviations. 41. Always create new frame for images. DO NOT copy from previous document as at times the image in the frame could be rotated and Indesign saves all actions in the preferences and hence the adbuilder will display rotated image on the front end. Therefore, we always prefer to have new document. 42. If there is a case, where the document size is too large and the static element is too small we need to manually generate eps for that static element as ID creates problem in generating pdf if the frame is too small. So in the case, club all the static elements into one single eps to avoid issue. 43. When designing Property templates, there should be individual frames of the icons and its value to implement Gravity rules. For an instance, frame for the value of icon(bedroom)and frame for the image(bedroomicon) should be different. 44. No Special effects as HTML5 don’t support Indesign special effect and if you need any special effect please use eps files. 45. Check Graphic Box Angle and Flip properties, because it will effect position of Photo in Ad builder. 46. Extend boxes to allow more text.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 5 47. No Shift Return should be use in Indesign documents. 48. Step Builder User Upload = Y

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 9 Indesign Desktop Configuration All plugins need to be configured once they have been installed (ie copied into the Plugins folder for Adobe InDesign CS4) and the application loaded. Brandmark plugins • Select InDesign -> Preferences -> HTTP for Brandmark These plugins allow access to the Brandmark database from InDesign. The following screen is displayed. Enter a valid URL (eg p01.file.printplanet.com.au/whitemedia/HTTP2PN/HTTP2PN.asmx) Select InDesign -> Preferences -> HTTP for InDesign These plugins allow access to the Brandmark DAM database from InDesign. The screen is displayed.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 10 Enter a valid URL (eg p01.file.printplanet.com.au/whitemedia/pndam/IDHTTP2DAM.asmx) Select Search Fields. Enter a valid User ID and Password in the User Authentication palette. Move any of the items listed in the Unassigned list to the Assigned list using the arrow icons. This then enables the Assigned parameters to be used as search fields. We use Keywords field. Select OK to finish the configuration.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 11 Selecting the Brandmark Root Folder The templates that you create for a customer are saved into a work folder that needs to be created and selected from the plugin. Select Brandmark -> Preferences Navigate to and select the relevant folder. Click on OK. If several users are creating templates then these should be saved to a central folder location accessible to these users. Otherwise each user will only be able to work on the templates that they initially created. These are saved in Root Folder -> Clients -> Client Id -> ID_Adstyles folder. PN Synchronise Select Brandmark -> Synchronise Brandmark Files This copies certain data from the Brandmark database in to the selected Root Folder. It does not copy all of the client template files from the Server. What it does is the following: Copies into Root Folder / Clients folder any missing client folder structures. The only files copied are those in the XML_Grids folder. Updates the DTD folder in the Root folder. It is recommended that the existing DTD folder (if there is one) should be deleted before the synchronization process.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 12 Layer Structure in InDesign InDesign document basically designed by using various Layers. When we approve the template a geometry xml gets created. The geometry gets rendered on HTML5 Adbuilder to build the ad. So the correct use and arrangement of Layers are very important to represent it and function properly on HTML5 Adbuilder. InDesign document must follow the layer naming conventions as below. LS_Sold Sticker_Opt C LS_Sold Sticker_Opt B LS_Sold Sticker_Opt A LS_QR Code LS_Property1_4 Photos LS_Property1_3 Photos Opt2 LS_Property1_3 Photos Opt1 LS_Property1_2 Photos LS_Property1_ 1 Photo LS_Property1 LS_Pagebase Let’s understand the layer name conventions. LS stands for LayerSet. “LS_Property1” means, we are creating a group of layers called “Property1”. It is compulsory that Layerset name should be enclosed within the underscores e.g. “_”Property1“_”. LS_XXXX_YYYY Where XXXX = Layer set Name and YYYY = Layer Name Layerset are displayed as checkbox options & Layers are displayed as Radio buttons such as 1 Photo, 2 Photos etc. in HTML5 Builder Layout Options. User can enable/disable the layer as shown below. InDesign Layer Pallate structure Adbuilder transform those layers as above

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 13 here we have three Layersets “Property” ,”QR Code” & “Sold Sticker” Same name is reflected as Label name in Form (See below image). 1) First Layer should be named as “LS_Pagebase”. It basically contains all static elements of the document. e.g. Crop-marks, Logo (expected in .eps format). 2) “LS_Property1” It basically contains all tagged as well as static Text/Images, In this case for single property. I) In multi property template the layers should be as follows. LS_Property2_3 Photos Opt2 LS_Property2_3 Photos Opt1 LS_Property2_2 Photos LS_Property2_1 Photo LS_Property2base LS_Property1_3 Photos Opt2 LS_Property1_3 Photos Opt1 LS_Property1_2 Photos LS_Property1_1 Photo LS_Property1base LS_Pagebase 3) “LS_Property_1 Photo” This layer will have 1 image of Property. 4) “LS_Property_2 Photos” This layer will have 2 images of Property and so on. 5) If we have different positions of the same image count then Opt1, Opt2 etc. needs to be appended at the end of layer name. 6) “LS_Sold Sticker_Opt A”, “LS_Sold Sticker_Opt B” & “LS_Sold Sticker_Opt C”. All tags of SOLD Sticker should be on respectively layers.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 14 How to Create a Template This is an example of the template creation process for a straightforward print template, in this case a Signboard. It shows the various stages in this process with relevant data and screenshots. The template comprises two pages, representing the front and back of the card respectively. Sr.No Indesign Step Screenshot 1 Here i referring Raywhite Signboard to show template design details 2 Lets Start with the LS_Pagebase. We generally use this layer for all static elements. Create a combine eps of all static images & put on this layer.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 15 3 Now Moving to next layer is LS_Property1_Base. It generally used for all property related Tags. All dynamic text should on this layer. 4 LS_Property1_1 Photo This layer for 1 photo option of property1 layout. We can create multiple property layer e.g:- Property1, Property2, Property3_Base & There Photo option are LS_Property1_1Photo LS_Property2_1Photo LS_Property3_1Photo

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 16 5 If you have a mulitiple option for layout e.g. 3 Photo Option1 & 3 Photo Option2 This will go as following format LS_Property1_3 Photos Option1 LS_Property1_3 Photos Option2 6 Now QR Code is in different layerset as it required here. LS_QR Code

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 17 7 This layerset have three different options of Sold Stickers LS_Sold Sticker_Opt A LS_Sold Sticker_Opt B LS_Sold Sticker_Opt C 8 To allow select agent from dropdown list, we need to put one Non Printable text tag on same layerset. In this case its SelectSoldStickerSalesRep You can put multiple drop-down on same layerset to give two agent different drop down e.g SelectSoldStickerSalesRep1 SelectSoldStickerSalesRep2

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 18 9 Here are some text attribute that HTML Ad-builder supports. Support: Tracking, Custom leading, Auto leading, Space after & before, Rotation of any degree. Also support TAB but only through Stepbuilder. Don't Support: Kerning, Any Scaling text or image, Base line shift, Skew, Tint or transparency, drop-shadow to graphic object. Paragraph or character style. 10 Here we defined Gravity rules for icons. E.g: Here are 4 different icons in template they depend of property details. 4th icon is a drop-down. Which allows us to put 3 different icons in it. To assign Gravity open XP tagging pallet from Window. Select first tag Bedroom which is text tag. Set only Delete Container value to it. Now The distance between two icons will need to calculate in Points Only. Here its 23 Pts(pink box). But when you assign XP tagging set it to 22.5 pt. It mean we need to keep extra distance in template than actual distance. Same applicable for rest of icons.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 19 11 Gravity only works in Groups of elements. It wont work for individual frame . Now Gravity actually applied Except 1st icon Here we can see Bathroom tag have a gravity of Left & distance is 22.5 & Delete container if empty. Now Delete container allows icons to take position of icons if it don't have values. If user Don't put a car parking value that icon get deleted & the next icon will move to car parking icon position. 12 We can put TAB through Stepbuilder. Tab can assign to any tag here we assigned it for InspectPrefix Tag. First Need to understand what is Prefix Tag? Value inside of prefix tag is automatically get deleted or shows if related tag has data. E.g Here InspectPrefix tag have value “View” When user type data in Inspect Tag the prefixc value will automatically shows. Here we can assign TAB value in following manner. ViewTAB(15) Refer next screen for output of above.

17 kensington st | east perth | wa 6004 | Australia | w printforce.com.au | e rsingh@printforce.com.au 21 Duplicate Tag Value Explained It is useful in case were Same tagg used in document repeatedly across layerset, layers etc & you want to flow same data across them this option allows you to do that. Now it allows three options in brandmark. Explained below. 1) Document- Simply flows same data across all layerset, layer etc. In short within whole document. LS_Property1_Base LS_Property1_Photo1 LS_Property1_Photo2 LS_Property2_Base LS_Property2_Photo1 LS_Property2_Photo2 2) Layer- It will flows data within only matching layers e.g LS_Property1_Base LS_Property1_Photo1 LS_Property1_Photo2 3) Layerset- This will flows data only in matching layersets. Now in below example data would flow in only Property1 if your tag is on that layerset. It wont flow on Property2layerset. e.g LS_Property1_Base LS_Property1_Photo1 LS_Property1_Photo2 LS_Property2_Base LS_Property2_Photo1

Steps This Set contains two Steps, namely Front Details and Back Details. There must always be a Step for each page in the template. If the template has 4 pages then there must be 4 Steps configured in StepBuilder. There is no specific naming convention for these Steps; the 1st page uses the 1st step, the 2nd page the 2nd step, etc. Layersets Within each of the Steps there must be then be a Layerset and this must match (ie have the same name as) the name configured in the Layers palette in InDesign. In this example the Layerset is LS_Card Options_1 Agent, so Card Options must appear as the Layerset name in StepBuilder. Tags Under the Layerset any number of tags can be added from the full tag list as displayed. Usually only those that are used in the various defined Layers within this particular Layerset (ie 1 Agent, 2 Agents, OfficeOnly and NoMobile) need to be added. If this same StepBuilder is going to be used with other templates then it will be configured with all of the tags that appear in all of the templates, even though some of the tags may not appear in any one particular template. The order in which the tags are displayed under the Layersetname can be changed by simply dragging-anddropping any tag from one position to another. The important effect of this is that the order of the tags as configured in the StepBuilder defines how these same tagged fields appear in the HTML5 AdBuilder UI.

Scroll down the text displayed in the Font Xml text box locate the section used to define the HTML5 fonts, which starts with an entry <WebFonts>. Place the new font xml data (see below) anywhere in this file between the <WebConfig> and </WebConfig> entries. <File Font=”Minion Pro” Style=”Regular">MinionPro-Regular.otf</File> <File Font="Trade Gothic" Style="Bold">TRADEGOB.OTF</File>

This <FontConfig> xml is read by the HTML5 AdBuilder when it loads a template or a job. We now need to ensure that the required font files (as defined in the above file) are available and accessible when required from the HTML5 AdBuilder by saving in the application’s fonts folder After configuring the fonts via the Administration module the physical font files must be saved in the Fonts folder under the HTML5 AdBuilder Application’s root directory which is on the BM Server. Locate the PNABHTML5 directory path in the application server and paste the new font files in the Fonts folder. This is where the HTML5 AdBuilder physically loads the fonts. The fonts can now be used correctly through the system, from InDesign workstation to HTML5 browser to hires PDF creation on the InDesign Server
